Volunteers for Adoption Day: We are in need of volunteers for adoption days. Adoption days are held a few times a month on Saturdays for just a few hours. For anyone interested in helping out, whether it be once a month or only a few times a year, it would be greatly appreciated. We welcome school students as well.

Who We Are
Established in 1994, the AAS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping abused, abandoned, orphaned and neglected companion animals. These animals are fostered until they can be adopted into loving homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated and receives any other medical care that may be necessary. The AAS has a "No-Kill" policy, being more of a sanctuary type setting than a shelter.
AAS is entirely dependent upon the support of our local community. The AAS holds several fundraising events, in order to help raise money for homeless pets that we foster. If you would like to help whether it be fostering, volunteering, or making a donation, please contact us directly. Read more

Pet of the Month: Buddy
Buddy is a cute little guy. He is not too hyper, just wants to play or hang around with you. We believe he is more Jack Russell than Rat Terrier. He is currently 12 lbs. and not expected to get much larger as he is appox. 6mos old. He loves to walk on a leash or sit in your lap. Whatever makes you happy, makes Buddy happy. He loves kids. He would make a wonderful family dog for a family with kids that could grow up with Buddy. Contact AAS for more information on Buddy!
