We are currectly in desperate need of donations! Without donations we are unable to save unwanted pets. Between medical care and food the cost adds up. We take pride in helping to save these pets. All donations are tax deductable also! If you wish to donate please send donations to address listed on contact page.

Adoption Days: Saturday, March 21th, 2009 at Super Walmart in Picayune, Ms.
Nursing Home Visits: Thursday February 19th and March 19th at Pearl River Hospital & Nursing Home in Poplarville, Ms. For more information on items we need for this please see our Get involved Page!
Volunteers for Adoption Day: We are in need of volunteers for adoption days. Adoption days are held a few times a month on Saturdays for just a few hours. For anyone interested in helping out, whether it be once a month or only a few times a year, it would be greatly appreciated. We welcome school students as well.

Who We Are:
Established in 1994, the AAS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping abused, abandoned, orphaned and neglected companion animals. These animals are fostered until they can be adopted into loving homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated and receives any other medical care that may be necessary. The AAS has a "No-Kill" policy, being more of a sanctuary type setting than a shelter.
AAS is entirely dependent upon the support of our local community. The AAS holds several fundraising events, in order to help raise money for homeless pets that we foster. If you would like to help whether it be fostering, volunteering, or making a donation, please contact us directly. Read more

Pet of the Month:
Gizz is a 2 1/2 year old GSD mix. Very sweet girl! Very well mannered and loves to play fetch and play in water! If you are interested in Gizz please contact the number listed at petfinder for more information on her.
